Summer College in Croatia 2008

The Education Department of the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) organised a joint course with the European Metalworkers’ Federation Collective Bargaining Summer College, on 14 - 17 September 2008 in Lovran (Opatija), Croatia.
Results, minutes and documents of the Summer College are now available.
The course aimed at:
- broaden and deepen the EMF collective bargaining coordination strategy
- assess and discuss the impact of EMF policies on issues like working time, the development of precarious employment forms and outsourcing strategies
- debate on future perspectives in the collective bargaining work of EMF

EMF Launches 2nd Common Demand of the European metalworkers’ unions
“For more secure employment, against precarious work”
which will be included in the collective bargaining demands of all its 75 affiliated trade unions and in future collective bargaining rounds throughout Europe over the next four years.
