General Strike in Italy on 25.11.2005
On the 25 of November we will have a general strike in Italy held from the three Italian confederations (CGIL-CISL-UIL) against the financial act and for changing some of its contents.
This new financial act is very heavy for the workers and for their family because continue to cut the social welfare while the renewal of contracts are blocked.
In this situation are the Italian metalworkers that after 9 months continue to have negative answers from the employers in their National bargaining round for the wage increase.
Is for that reasons that 11.000 shop stewards from FIM-FIOM-UILM, in their National assembly in Milan the 11 of November decided for a General strike of Metalworkers for the 2nd of December with a huge demonstration in Rome.
We won’t to try to make our contract between the of the year!
