Legal dispute in Norway over generally binding collective agreements
Fellesforbundet
13/04/2010
Fellesforbundet struggles to curb social dumping in shipyards. The Parliament has passed a law on general application of collective agreements. During summer 2007 Fellesforbundet demanded the law be applied to the shipbuilding industry. The employers are opposed to using the law in shipyards and took the government to court. The employers lost the case but have appealed against the decision.
