Pilot Agreement settled in South-West Germany!
- IG Metall: Collective Bargaining Round 2007 -
After nineteen hours of negotiations, a pilot agreement about pay increase was concluded on the 4th of May 2007 in Sindelfingen (region of Baden-Württemberg).
1. Pay increase:
For the period: 1st of April 2007 until 31st of May 2008:
- 4.1 % beginning with 1st of June 2007 until 31st of May 2008.
- lump-sum payment of 400 € for the months April, May 2007; apprentices get a lump-sum payment of 125 €.
For the period: 1st of June 2008 until 31st of October 2008:
- 1.7 % beginning with 1st of June 2008 (with an option to postpone the beginning, see below!)
- 0.7 % one-off payment for the months June until October 2008 (the whole one-off payment must be paid in August 2008)
- Option: At company level, the beginning of the second period of pay rise (June until October 2008) can be put off until the 1st of October 2008. It depends on the respective economic situation of a company. Management and works council have to negotiate and to conclude a works agreement on this postponement.
2. Period of validity of the agreement
The period of validity of the whole agreement lasts 19 months.
3. Obligation to transfer the pilot agreement to all the other regions The agreement contains also the recommendation for the negotiator in all the other regions to take over the content of this agreement.
