Situation ŠKODA AUTO, Mladá Boleslav
Protests - workers fight in ŠKODA AUTO, a.s., Mladá Boleslav (Volkswagen Group)
Trade unionists in ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. are preparing themselves for an acute industrial fight. Until now more than 50 meetings with short interruption of work has been held. If the management shall not radically change its positions that are having character of social dumping, trade unions are preparing big protest action on 30.3.2005 with several hours warning strike.
Main reasons:
Work intensity and productivity is comparable with EU 15 companies
Company increased its profits in 2004 more that twice compared with 2003
Workers wages slightly exceed 500 Euro/month brutto
Company management refuses to increase real wages for 2005
