Collective agreement in Austria for workers in the textile industry
On 19 May 2009 the Austrian union GMTN (metal, textile, food), reached after the 5th bargaining round the following agreement for the workers of the textile industry:
Increase of the collectively agreed minimum wage: + 2,3%
Increase of actual wages (Ist-Löhne): + 2,3%
Increase in apprenticeship allowance: + 2,3%
Increase of the holiday allowance (regardless of the date of payment): +2,3%
Increase of the collectively agreed travel expenses and separation allowances: +2,3%
Starting: 1st June 2009
Ending: 31st March 2010

which will be included in the collective bargaining demands of all its 75 affiliated trade unions and in future collective bargaining rounds throughout Europe over the next four years.
